The light traces and stays on the mountains

The work consists mainly of lectures about the mountains she visited during her stay in Aomori, indicators in tourist attractions and public objects.
The artist made objects during her research. The objects are also used in the lecture performance. The artist chews gum during the lecture. When the artist has finished telling a story, the gum is spit out as a support for the object and the object is placed on top of the gum.
Each object draws a large map connecting the places visited by the artist herself.

What should be there is already gone, and what has traditionally been preserved is disappearing with time. The etymology of the Japanese word for tourism is "to see the light of the country", but that light is passing so fast that the current situation can only be passed on orally as our own experience. But even now the light is there. She make big things to be small, stand clay on gum and make a map.

この作品は青森滞在中に行った山や、観光地にある指標、パブリックオブジェについての話をメインにレクチャーが構成されています。
作家はリサーチ中にオブジェを作りました。レクチャーパフォーマンスにもそのオブジェが用いられます。レクチャー中、作家はガムを噛んでいます。作家が１つの体験記を話し終えると、オブジェを立てるための支持体としてガムを吐き出し、ガムの上にオブジェを乗せます。
それぞれのオブジェが、作家自身の訪れた場所を繋ぐように大きな地図を描きます。

あるはずのものはもうすでに無い、伝統的に守られてきたものは時勢と共に消えていく。日本語の観光の語源は「国の光を観る」とのことだが、その光はものすごい速さで通り過ぎ、現状は自分たちの体験として口伝することしかできない。しかし今もそこに光がある。大きなことを小さくして、ガムに粘土を立てて地図を作る。
