居心地のよい椅子

Cosy chair

I made one cosy chair and two sofa benches, which were modelled on the stone benches outside the KAVC. I designed and built the 'cosy chair' by myself, with advice from friends.
The 'cosy chairs (Shinkaichi)' were measured from the stone bench in front of the KAVC and made to about the same height and size.
As a measure to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection, KAVC has banned eating and drinking in the free space on the first floor and removed the original chairs. When I went outside the KAVC, I saw a group of men talking with their friends with drinks in their hands from noon onwards. I think it's really nice. I created my cosy chair in the hope that people would find the sofa and come into the KAVC.

居心地のよい椅子を１台とKAVC の外にある石のベンチを模したソファベンチを２台作りました。『居心地のよい椅子』は設計から製作まで友達にアドバイスを貰いつつ自分１人で製作しました。『居心地のよい椅子（新開地）』はKAVC の前にある石のベンチを採寸して、高さや大きさをほぼ同じくらいにしました。KAVC はコロナウイルス感染拡大防止対策として、１階のフリースペースでの飲食を禁止にし、置いていた椅子も引き払いました。椅子のなくなったKAVC に椅子を足したいと思い立ち、せっかく作るのなら、居心地のよい椅子が欲しいから、ソファにしました。KAVC の外に出ると昼からお酒を片手に友達と語らっているおじさんたちがいます。すごくいいなと思いました。外の人がソファを見つけてKAVC に入ってきてくれることも願いつつ、自分にとっての居心地のよい椅子を制作しました。
